ARTIST PROFILE

Biography-DiAnne L. Cooper began her career as a professional artist when she was commissioned to paint a mural for the Spanish Royal Navy.

After serving 11 years in the U.S. Navy, she completed her studies in film production and an internship with Oscar winning producer Donna Dewey. In Los Angeles, she put her creative energies to work in television and feature film production. While working as a sculptor in the special effects industry she helped to develop and refine characters for the Walt Disney Pictures’ animated film Hercules.

Upon returning to Colorado, she was hired to manage the design, engineering, fabrication and installation of museum, tradeshow and visitor center exhibit projects with budgets totaling $70 million dollars in 15 countries.

In 2002 she opened her 6,000-sq. ft. sculpting studio in downtown Denver.

Her paintings and sculptures are included in collections in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

2003, 2005, and 2007 Ms. Cooper was selected by a panel of international art critics to represent the United States at the Biennale Internazionale dell'Arte Contemporanea di Firenze (Florence International Biennial Exhibition of Contemporary Art).
